Happy Forth of July!!!!

Apologies. It has been a while since I 've posted... I've been busy. Painting, learning, having the giggles with guests.  This is the best job ever! Making kids people smile!!

Happy Birthday America!  This weekend the most popular colors are not pink and purple~ they are red, white and blue! Look at some of the designs for our nation's big day:

This was done using Paradise "Patriot"  rainbow cake by  Mehron.  Fast and easy using a 3/4" flat brush and then details with a #4 round. You could go crazy with the "fireworks"!

. . . speaking of Fireworks, I love the ones at Branchburg Park in North Branch, NJ. They never disappoint.  If you can't make it to the Macy's display, this is the next best thing!

               Enjoy!

Who says swirls need to be perfect and tear dropped?
Sometimes a squiggle is just what you need. . .

a little glitter and voila! Inspired by some high fashion make-up,
this face is just fabulous fun!

I love the color combo, but this would work with lots of color combinations.  How about ~ neon.  Some bling wouldn't hurt either.  (Just a little.)

I really love tiger faces.

Instead of the traditional yellow, orange white and black Try a different color combination.

Check out this blue tiger.  Roar!

Slight green was added above the eyes to bring out the features a little more.

A brighter blue inside the black strips adds even more.

Patriotic butterfly in Red white and blue. For my Niece's birthday!

She's showing her independence being 18.  Independent enough to NOT let me paint her!!!  So once again, I resort to myself as the model.

Teenagers!

This is a first attempt using the Paradise rainbow cake.  I have decided that I need much more of a forehead.  I think it is time to look for models.  The best thing about painting myself is that I never say no to a paint!  The worst thing is that you get to suffer through seeing my mug every day!

This butterfly is done with pressed powder.  A nice coppery color.  I attended a workshop with Sharon Hodges and she did some very amazing butterfly faces.  Couldn't wait to try my hand at them!  Best advice ~  make them look like nature does and you cannot go wrong.
